National Civil Rights Museum, Martin Luther King Jr

To this point I think if you ask anyone in the family what has been one of the most moving and impressive part of the trip we would all say the National Civil Rights museum. The museum is located or apart of the hotel where Martin Luther King Jr. was killed. It Chronicles in large part the history of the slave trade all the way up to present day. It is done both by pictures, personal accounts and historical events. I must admit that I was severely naive to the history and the plight of the black people here in the USA, but after spending a whole day reading, listening and seeing our family came away with a whole new perspective. The many story's of courage, persistence and determination will continue with us for a long time.
