We dry camped at ocean side park. It wa
s not somewhere I would have picked but it was fun for the kids. They got a lot of ocean time in and I got some much needed sleep in. I was so worn out from 2 days of Disney land. We got ready and 
stopped by the San Diego Temple. The temple was closed and most of the grounds were closed off too. We stayed for just a short minute.
Then we went over to Old Town San Diego. Our first stop was the Mormon Battalion. It was so nice to be in a church environment. They have done such a beautiful job with the visitor center. It was really inspiring!
The Mormon Battalions motto was: Choose Happiness not matter what the circumstance.
They also said that they received most from what they least expected.
It is such a great place to go. We really loved it.
We then walked through old town, ate some really yummy Mexican food. Then wasted our money on the famous Whaley haunted house. It was a really fun day. We then stayed the night right across from the Mormon Battalion. In the front of
